DESCRIPTION:For the 22ND year\, the Magic Valley Arts Council is helping provide growth opportunities for children in our area through the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) residency. Performances for The Snow Queen will be Saturday\, November 4 at 3 pm and 7 pm at the Twin Falls Center for the Arts Sligar Auditorium\, 195 River Vista Place.\n\n \n\nTickets are on sale now at the Magic Valley Arts Council Box Office. Adult tickets are $10 and students $5. Seating is limited so reserve your tickets today.\n\n\n\nDue to financial support from the Whittenberger Foundation\, Amalgamated Research Incorporated\, Blue Lakes Rotary\, Twin Falls Optimists\, Twin Falls Kiwanis\, and the Idaho Commission on the Arts\, the Magic Valley Arts Council is able to offer the magic of a MCT theatre experience through workshops at eleven schools in Gooding\, Jerome\, Filer and Twin Falls. This year the MCT experience will reach up to 4\,900 children\, grades K-12\, through workshops and performances. Creativity\, social skills\, goal achievement\, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through participation in this unique\, educational project.\n\n \n\nMCT\, whose mission is the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts\, is the nation's largest touring children's theatre\, has been touring extensively for 45 years from Montana to Japan\, and will visit nearly 1\,200 communities this year with up to 44 teams of Tour Actor/Directors.\n\nA MCT residency week is very fast-paced. In five days\, participants are guided from audition to performance. During this short time period\, children learn lines\, songs and choreography\, cues\, stage blocking and timing.
