SUMMARY:CSI Summer Band Experience
DESCRIPTION:Do you love music? Whether you are a hobbyist\, a middle or high school student\, or have just always wanted to learn to play\, the CSI Summer Band Experience is the perfect opportunity for you! In this week-long summer camp\, jazz and classical music tracks are available. Students will get the chance to have direct contact with renowned performance faculty six hours each day\, learning all about their instrument during daily sectionals\, working with their peers in small chamber groups and full band settings\, learning about the building blocks of music\, improvising in music theory\, and experiencing the greatest musical recordings and historical performances of all time in the listening lab. A culminating performance as part of the Jazz on the Canyon Festival is always a highlight of the summer! So get your instrument off the shelf\, come on down to CSI's beautiful campus\, and have a great time making new friends and great music this summer! Affordable on campus housing and meal plans are available for regional students. Contact camp director\, Scott Farkas to set up arrangements. Ages 12 and up.
