DESCRIPTION:Family Resource Center is hosting a FREE Healthy Teens program for youth ages 13 to 19. Held at the FRC\, 331 7th St. in Elko on Wed.\, May 29 and Thur.\, May 30 from 4:00-7:00pm both days. Youth must attend BOTH DAYS of class to receive free incentives. Permission slips are required\, signed by parent/guardian before class. For planning purposes\, please pre-register: call 753-7352\, text 397-1874\, or email teenhealth@elkofrc.org.\n\n\n\nYouth who attend both full sessions of the program will receive a FREE backpack filled with school supplies OR a $25 store gift card to either Marshall's or JCPenney. Parents of those who complete the program will receive a FREE $15 gas card after class on the second day. **One free incentive allowed per child per year.**\n\n\n\nMaking Proud Choices is a lively\, evidence-based\, age appropriate program\, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections\, HIV/AIDS\, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle social pressures. Youth learn about effective communication\, hygiene\, responsibility\, healthy relationships\, avoiding risky behaviors\, and goal setting.\n\n\n\nWant more info?
