Accounting Specialist

Twin Falls Housing Authority provides subsidized housing opportunities for low-income families, elderly and people with disabilities. The Housing Authority has an opening for Accounting Specialist, whose primary function is to ensure all federal and state accounting procedures are carried out and to perform business accounting responsibilities for the Public Housing Authority.  Responsibilities include performing accounts payable and receivable; preparing monthly and year-end reports; balancing and reconciling all accounts; processing payroll, payroll taxes and all related forms and reports; explaining benefit programs; assisting auditors with annual audit; preparing annual budgets; making bank deposits and transfers; and maintaining accurate records and accounts for Public Housing programs.  Experience with QuickBooks is essential.  Established in 1940, the Housing Authority values it's employees, offering a full benefit package.
